1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PickleballScore.net ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

PickleballScore.net provides a free, web-based pickleball scoring application that includes:

• Digital scorekeeping for pickleball, casual games, and badminton
• Live score sharing capabilities
• Match history tracking for registered users
• Mobile-optimized interface
• User account management and data synchronization

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

• You may use the service without an account in guest mode
• Creating an account is optional but provides additional features
• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

3.2 Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to solicit unlawful acts
• Harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service

5. Live Score Sharing

• When you share a match, the current score and team names become publicly viewable via the share link
• Share links expire after a reasonable period of inactivity
• You are responsible for who you share your match links with
• We are not responsible for misuse of shared match links by third parties

6. User Content and Data

6.1 Your Data

• You retain ownership of all data you input (team names, scores, etc.)
• You grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the service
• You can export or delete your data at any time

6.2 Data Backup and Loss

• While we strive to prevent data loss, we cannot guarantee data preservation
• You are encouraged to export important match data regularly
• We are not liable for any data loss or corruption

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the service, to understand our practices.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

• The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PickleballScore.net
• The service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission

9. Third-Party Services

Our service may integrate with third-party services including:

• Google Firebase for authentication and data storage
• Google AdSense for advertisements
• Other analytics and hosting services

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Service Availability

• The service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time

10.2 Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (which is $0 for free usage)
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PickleballScore.net from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees).

12. Termination

• We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at our sole discretion
• You may discontinue use and request account deletion at any time
• Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
